Our Lady's School has a very active community. These events are led by our Parent Teacher Guild (PTG). We welcome all families to volunteer and get involved!
During the fall our students participate in a walk-a-thon at a local park. The walk-a-thon is not only an opportunity to raise money for the school, but it is also an opportunity to raise awareness of physical fitness and good health practices. All students are challenged to spend the morning walking for our school. Parents help us organize and run one of our most popular events.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Festival
The Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLG) Festival is held in early December in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe's feast day. The OLG Festival is celebrated in the schoolyard at the Fr Brown Campus site. There are several booths with delicious Mexican and American foods, live music and games for the children.
Big Deal Dinner Dance
Each year the PTG sponsors a Big Deal Dinner Dance in February, which is designed to raise $20,000 for the school. Each Family is required to purchase a "Big Deal" ticket at the cost of $100. There are only 300 tickets sold. The $100 ticket can be split among family or friends (Example: 5 people put in $20 to buy a ticket). Support the school by purchasing a "Big Deal" ticket. It is a very fun evening of dancing and dinner along with silent and live auctions and of course the exciting draw down to the big winner of the evening.
Annual Art Show and Spring Cruise Raffle
In late April we showcase all our students' artwork at the annual Art Show. Set up as an art gallery parents and friends are invited to admire all their hard work. Some class art is auctioned off. Students also sell tickets for a cruise for one lucky winner.
