Parent Teacher Guild

The philosophy of the school recognizes that the parents are the primary educators and their support is a fundamental component to educating the whole child. Our Lady's School Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) works with the Principal to provide a means of parent involvement in the life of the school. In addition to raising funds to supplement the school budget, the group fosters social and educational activities. The PTG does not have elected officers, and all parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the various PTG sponsored events. Some of these events include:

  • Genevieve gift wrap fund-raiser (October)
  • Christmas Presentation (December)
  • Big Deal Dinner/Dance fund-raiser (February)
  • Walk-a-thon Fund-raiser (spring)

Parents are also encouraged to become room parents and volunteer for class and school-wide activities. Our school invites parents to:

  • Support our art program by coming into the classroom as an art docent
  • Volunteer to chaperone field trips
  • Tutor student during the day
  • Assist with yard supervision
  • Provide time and talents to help with upkeep of the school facility
  • Volunteer for class fund-raisers
