Classroom Page: Sixth Grade
6th Grade January News
Dear Parents,
Our new year has many challenges for the 6th graders. Starting this week we have
begun preparing for our annual Science Fair which will be February 23rd in our OLA
Hall. Each parent must approve of their child’s project. I will be helping in class
as much as I can.
We have just started with the art program and we are very excited about our pop
artist. You will see their works of art displayed at the actual Art Show in May.
You will be quite amazed at their ability and talent.
Besides studying for our upcoming test to end 2nd quarter we will be sharing many
wonderful things about ourselves in our English class when we write our very own
autobiography. You will get to read them at the next parent conference.
As you read in the parent letter each class is responsible for a basket for our
Big Deal Dinner and Dance. We will do a gourmet basket and a coffee/tea basket.
I would like a 5 dollar donation from each student if possible. You might win one
of these wonderful baskets.
At the end of this month we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week. I would like
to thank all my parents for the love and care you give your child. Teaching them
about our faith and to love our Lord is the gift you have given me by sending them
to Our Lady’s School.
At last a little reminder about 6th grade camp fees. Please try to keep up with
your payments. May will be here before you know it. If you have any problems with
this please let me know.
